Summer Shuttles
Most accommodations in town provide or can arrange, transfers to all the popular summer activities in the region including Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Ohakune Mountain Road, Ohakune Old Coach Road and Whanganui River for jet boating, canoeing and the Bridge to Nowhere trail. Matai Transport and Whanganui Motors have a selection of cars available to rent for the duration of your stay in Ohakune. 

 

Bike Hire
There are several bike hire companies in Ohakune and bikes can be rented from 1 hour to a full day. 
Note that the law states you must wear a helmet when riding a bike anywhere in New Zealand. On the spot, fines apply to anyone caught riding without one.
