Most accommodations in town provide or can arrange, transfers to all the popular summer activities in the region including Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Ohakune Old Coach Road, Timber Trail and Whanganui River for jet boating, canoeing and the Bridge to Nowhere trail. Custom transfers are also available by arrangement with your accommodation.

There are several bike hire companies in Ruapehu and bikes and e-bikes can be rented from 1 hour to a full day.
